Bishop England makes it two straight state titles (AUDIO)

Bishop England won its second straight 2A-Division 2 state championship Friday night at Benedict College defeating two time 1A defending champion Abbeville 21-0.  The Battling Bishops held the potent Abbeville triple option attack to just 182 total yards.

Bishop England quarterback Kevin Herbst rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns and passed for another 55 yards.

The Bishops scored all the points they need on the first possession of the game.  Nick Theos connected with Jamie Garrett on a 62 yard scoring pass to make it 7-0.

The score stayed that way until the fourth quarter when Kevin Herbst ran in for a pair of touchdowns to ice the win.

Bishop England finishes the season with a 13-1 mark and Abbeville finishes with an 11-3 record.
