Milton Jennings is back in Brad Brownell’s doghouse (UPDATE: He was arrested)

Milton Jennings will not play tonight

Clemson will be down a starter in tonight’s ACC/Big Ten Challenge match-up against Purdue. Tigers coach Brad Brownell announced this morning that senior forward Milton Jennings will not be with the team tonight because of a suspension for a violation of team rules.  Jennings was also suspended for a team violation last season.

Jennings is a  former Pinewood Prep star and McDonald’s All-American. He was just named to the all tournament team at the Old Spice Classic last week.  He is leading the team in scoring, averaging almost 11 points per game. He is also the second leading rebounder on the team.

Clemson is 3-1 and will face Purdue at 7:15 at Littlejohn Coliseum.

UPDATE: According to Anderson Independent writer Greg Wallace Jennings was arrested on a drug charge:

According to Pickens County arrest records, Jennings was arrested Wednesday for possession of one ounce or less of marijuana or 10 grams or less of hash – first offense. He was released on a $620 personal recognizance bond.
