Yesterday Goose Creek High was disqualified from the state playoffs for the second time in as many weeks. The South Carolina High School League’s Executive Committee voted overwhelmingly not to re-admit the Gators back into the playoffs. Berkley County Circuit Judge Roger Young ruled last Friday that the committee would have to listen to Goose Creek’s case again even after they initially disqualified them for the use of an ineligible player. Monday’s hearing fared the Gators no better. Tonight Goose Creek Head Coach Chuck Reedy joined SportsTalk to discuss the ruling, and the league in detail.

Coach Reedy is not happy, at all, and held no punches in regards to the high school league’s ruling against his football team, and also questions how the committee is selected as a whole.
According to Reedy, the committee expressed “total disregard for the truth”, and although Goose Creek has decided not to proceed any further with trying to block the league’s ruling, he vows that yesterday’s ruling is “not the end.”
