Clemson’s Dabo Swinney is still feeling really good about his team (AUDIO)

Dabo Swinney’s team has won six straight since a loss at Florida State

Dabo Swinney updated all things Clemson football on his weekly teleconference Sunday. Swinney’s team improved to 9-1 Saturday with an easy win over Maryland. If the Tigers take care of business against NC State Saturday they will likely finish tied for first place in the ACC Atlantic Division with Florida State. The Seminoles shouldn’t have any problem with shorthanded Maryland this week and they own the tie breaker against the Tigers. Even though they wouldn’t play for the ACC championship, Swinney said the Tigers will still get a division title trophy if they end up tied with FSU.

Among the other points of interest from Dabo Sunday:

Running back D.J. Howard sprained his ankle, but should be fine this week. Fellow running back Rod McDowell sprained his toe and should also be good to go this weekend.

Offensive lineman David Beasley, wide receiver Adam Humphries, defensive end Corey Crawford and linebacker Corico Wright were the players of the game against Maryland.

Swinney thinks quarterback Tajh Boyd’s solid season is being overlooked. Swinney said he doesn’t see anyone in the country better than Boyd. He told reporters they should print that in big bold letters. So, here it is:

Swinney said the players remember what happened last year against NC State well. He said the Wolfpack embarrassed them on national TV and are capable of beating anyone. He stopped short of calling it a revenge game though.

Take a listen to all of Swinney’s comments below:
