USC running backs coach Everett Sands told reporters Wednesday that Marcus Lattimore has already started the rehab process and is not going to need a second surgery on his injured right knee. Lattimore had an operation last week in Birmingham with Dr. James Andrews. They repaired all of Lattimore’s injured ligaments during the procedure to avoid another surgery. Sands said he did not have a timetable for when Lattimore’s return to the gridiron or if that return will be at USC or in the NFL.

Sands also discussed the role of Brandon Wilds this week, his impressions of Kenny Miles , and how freshman Mike Davis will be used down the stretch. You can hear all of those comments below.
