Clemson’s Catanzaro named Groza Award semifinalist

Chandler Catanzaro has been named a Groza Award semifinalist for the second straight year

Clemson kicker Chandler Catanzaro has been named one of the 20 Lou Groza Award semifinaslists, which annually goes to the best kicker in college football.  Catanzaro, who was also named a semifinalist for this award last year, is 12-13 on field goals this year with a long of 50 yards, and is 43-44 on extra points.

Catanzaro holds Clemson kicking records for most consecutive field goals made with 20 in a row, and the highest percentage on field goals of 40+ yards, going 18-25.   The Greenville, SC native also leads Clemson in scoring this season with 79 points.
