USC defensive end Jadeveon Clowney’s bruised ribs will not keep him out of Saturday night’s game against UAB. Clowney missed a couple of practices early in the week, but was back on the field the past couple of days. Defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward expects him to be ready to roll against the Blazers.
“[Clowney] said he was feeling better today than he did yesterday,” said Ward. “He practiced today with no problems, so I guess he will be 100 percent.”
Ward’s defense has been pretty salty the first two games. They’ve only allowed two touchdowns and 23 total points in the first two contest. The unit has also forced six turnovers, including an interception returned for a touchdown by Jimmy Legree.
Take a listen to Ward’s preview of UAB below.
