DL Montravius Adams of Vienna, GA has taken more visits to Clemson than any other school and will likely return this season for a game. USC is also hoping for the same treatment from Adams. “They still talk to me a lot,” Adams said. “I think I’ll go there for a game.” He has yet to visit the Gamecocks and admits he is unsure of what they have to offer. “I don’t know a lot about them to tell you the truth,” he said. “I want to take a visit there and see it for myself.” Three of his official visits are already decided. He says that LSU, Oregon and Southern Cal are those destinations. As for favorites he said, “I’ll have a top six after my senior season is over.”
OL Tyrone Crowder of Rockingham, NC is set to announce two or three finalists Tuesday. Clemson and USC are among his offers and he has visited both. Auburn and Georgia are considered two other strong contenders.
DL Jay Woods of Jackson, GA plans to announce his college decision Thursday. He’s been considering Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Missouri and Kentucky.
Baseball News:
Wren sophomore INF LT Tolbert has committed to USC. He made his pledge after visiting last week with the Gamecocks. Tolbert played for Mauldin last season. He joins a club with Clemson commitment Eli White at shortstop, so he’ll likely play second base this season. But he projects as a shortstop in college.
