Glass hopes to reschedule his visit with USC

Tevin Glass

6-8 Tevin Glass of Alpharetta, GA had his scheduled official visit to USC for this past weekend canceled by the Gamecocks.  “Coach Martin said we had to reschedule because he had something come up with his family,” Glass said.  Glass said he talked again with the Gamecocks about three days ago and he feels likes they are still interested in him.  He is also talking to Murray State, Memphis, Florida State, Auburn, Xavier and Tennessee.  He has not scheduled any official visits at this point and does not have a favorite.

Football News:

DL Michael Hill of Pendleton landed an offer from LSU Friday according to his coach Paul Sutherland. Hill got the offer from Tigers’ defensive coordinator John Chavis who was at school to watch spring practice. Earlier in the week recruiters from Georgia Tech and Ohio State were by the school. Tennessee is due to be at the school Monday. Hill has been focusing on Clemson, USC, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Florida, Ohio State and Michigan.

DB Justin Williams of Port St. Lucie, FL is closing in on a decision and plans to have one by the end of May. “That’s what I’m planning on doing,” Williams said. “Right now, I’m kind of leaning to South Carolina. I talked to Coach (Grady) Brown today (Sunday). He asked how everything is going and said he’s coming down soon to watch me practice.” Williams said USC’s history with cornerbacks is appealing. “They send a lot of corners to the NFL,” he said. “It’s my dream to play in the NFL. And I like Coach Brown. He’s a good person.” Williams has offers from USC, Purdue, Middle Tennessee State, Florida International and Massachusetts. And he’s expecting one from Cincinnati this week. Though he’s pinpointing the end of the month for a decision, Williams said he has no specific date. Last season he had 30 tackles with 4 passes broken up and he returned one kickoff for a touchdown.
