Head coach Steve Spurrier came away from Tuesday’s spring practice unhappy with the way his offensive performed. Spurrier was seemingly disgusted with everyone with the offense, calling their play “sad” and “pitiful” in typical ‘Old Ball Coach’ fashion. The Gamecocks were only in their sixth practice of the spring, giving them plenty of time to improve before the Garnet and Black Game and for the start of fall practice.
However, perhaps the biggest news of the day came in the form of Bruce Ellington, as he was back on the football practice field. Ellington had previously said he would stick to playing basketball in the upcoming year, but is now contemplating playing both again, according to coach Spurrier.
Spurrier met with the media today to share his thoughts, as did defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward, linebackers/spurs coach Kirk Botkin, and senior spur DeVonte Holloman.
