Tough weekend drops Clemson from polls, USC holds after sweep

Jack Leggett and the Tigers are unranked this week

After losing three games to North Carolina over the weekend, Clemson has dropped out of the Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball top 25 polls. The Tigers are 6-7 heading into a road game at Western Carolina Wednesday.

USC swept Princeton over the weekend and remains third in Baseball America and second in Collegiate Baseball. The Gamecocks are 13-1 and will play five games this week. They have home games against Charleston Southern and Appalachian State tomorrow and Wednesday night, and then open SEC play with a series at Kentucky this weekend.

Florida continues to hold the top spot in both polls.

I like how the story reads: Trouble in Mecca. Must be a dark cloud of bad luck. Oh yeah, that two time back to back national chamion baseball team in the other part of the state won theirs.

Thanks Phil, just for being here for us
