WR Reggie Davis (5-11 180) of Tallahassee has offers from Florida, Florida State, Miami, Notre Dame, Georgia, Penn State, Vanderbilt, Alabama and South Florida. He felt an offer coming from the Gamecocks but says John Butler’s departure has him unsure of where he stands with USC. “Coach Butler was about to offer before he left,” Davis said. “He said me and (teammate at Lincoln high school) Taj Williams could come there and start on special teams as freshman. Now that he left, I don’t know if they’re even interested in me anymore.” Davis plays wide receiver but feels he is most dangerous on special teams. “That’s where I cause trouble,” he said. “I only got to return like four balls this year because they just turn and kick it away from me.” He had two touchdowns on those four returns. As for favorites he said, “I still have another year to go so I don’t really have any. Anywhere I can go and live my dream of playing football is fine with me.” He has visited FSU, Florida, USF and Georgia and returns to Florida this weekend. He will attend FSU’s junior day the following weekend.
USC has joined the long list of offers for DL Montravius Adams of Vienna, GA. “Coach Botkin is a nice guy and has communicated with him,” Dooly County coach Jimmy Hughes said of USC recruiter Kirk Botkin. “They kind of got in late.” Clemson was an early offer for Adams and he’s visited there three times since last summer. “He always enjoys his time there,” Hughes said. “He thinks a lot of Coach Swinney and has a good relationship with Coach Caldwell.” There are others strong with Adams. “Georgia is the state school and is in the hunt,” Hughes said. “Auburn and Alabama…Alabama was one of the first to recruit him and offer. They are in the mix along with Florida.” Ohio State also called about Adams today. Adams is going to Alabama Saturday, Florida next Saturday and to Georgia March 3rd. And he might take a visit to Florida State at some point. Besides Clemson, Adams also has been to Auburn. There is no timetable for a decision but he will narrow his list in the summer. “No one has been ruled out,” Hughes said. “He is really intrigued by Southern Cal.”
USC has targeted DB Cameron Sutton (6-0 175) of Jonesboro, GA as a cover corner and is one of his five offers. He also has offers from Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss and Kentucky. He’s also hearing from Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Louisville and Oregon. “He has excellent ball skills,” said Sutton’s coach Tim Floyd. “Teams throw away from him. He has excellent foot speed and quickness. He’s a shut-down corner.” Sutton had two picks last season. He also plays receiver and had 31 catches for 500 yards and 9 touchdowns. Sutton has not taken any visits yet because of his basketball schedule. He was invited to visit Cincinnati this weekend. His coach said all the schools are even with him at this point.
TE Austin Richardson (6-4 230) of Kernersville, NC could be closing in on his first offer. He is showing interest in several schools but was not ready to disclose the names of those showing interest in him. “I think an offer could be coming so I don’t want to really say who they are,” Richardson admitted. He attended the Clemson-Florida State game last season and was impressed with the Tigers. “They have great facilities and I love their coaches,” he said. “They seem really nice and personable. I would like to visit again.” He is planning several visits that include Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Duke, North Carolina and NC State-all schools he has visited before. Richardson also plans to attend a few camps over the summer but has not made a decision as to which schools those will be. As a junior, Richardson caught seven passes for 100 yards and a touchdown. He recorded 21 pancake blocks. “I’m a good blocker,” Richardson said. “When they throw it to me, I catch it.” He does not have a favorite.
OL Ethan Pocic (6-6 290) of Lemont, IL has offers from Clemson, Illinois, Purdue, Michigan, Michigan State, Tennessee, Arkansas, Arizona, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Iowa, Southern Cal, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Ohio State and Wisconsin among others. Pocic has heard from Tigers offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell and is interested in Clemson. “They’ve told me about their tradition,” Pocic said. “It’s a great school. I could visit them this summer but I don’t know yet.” He has visited several schools including Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin and Illinois and will return to Michigan this weekend. He does not have any favorites. “I don’t have a list or anything,” he said. “I’m wide open right now.” He plans to visit several schools over the summer. Pocic does not have other visits scheduled following this weekend.

6-6 Sheldon Jeter of Beaver Falls, PA is making an official visit to USC this weekend. Jeter tweeted that he landed in Columbia around 12:30 PM and “it’s time to see what South Carolina is all about.” Jeter is rated as the #1 prospect in the Pittsburgh area by the Pittsburgh Basketball Report. He also has offers from Penn State, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Seton Hall, Dayton and some mid-major programs. He also has visited Penn State and reportedly is strong on the Nittany Lions.
