Furman has interviewed a fourth candidate for its head coaching position. The most recent candidate to meet with AD Gary Clark and others from the school was Kentucky defensive line coach David Turner. Turner once worked for Furman head coach Bobby Johnson at Vanderbilt.
The other known candidates who have interviewed are Clemson offensive coordinator Billy Napier, former Vanderbilt head coach Robby Caldwell and former Vanderbilt defensive coordinator Bruce Fowler. Fowler, according to sources, is beleived to the be front runner to replace Bobby Lamb. William and Mary defensive coordinator Bob Shoop is also expected to be interviewed.
