CJ Spiller became just the third player in Clemson Football history to have his number retired. His #28 joins Steve Fuller’s #4 and Banks McFadden’s #66.
President James Barker and Athletic Director Terry Don Phillips officially retired the #28 jersey on the 28 yard line at halftime, with Spiller smiling ear to ear beside them. He decided to add a surprise of his own by unveiling a check for $100,000 that he was donating to the One Clemson Fund. Most all of the 71,000 fans in attendance remained in their seats during halftime in order to celebrate with CJ one more time.
