Clemson Sports Information Director Tim Bourret issued a release at 12:39 AM Wednesday morning stating he had been informed by Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney that quarterback Kyle Parker had made his decision regarding playing football this season or beginning his pro baseball career.
Bourret said in the statement that Parker wished to make an announcement thru him sometime Wednesday.
But David Hood of TigerNet.com and Robert Macrae of TheTigerInsider.com reported early Wednesday morning Parker has decided to return to Clemson to play football this season. Hood cited sources for his information while Macrae did not.
Both reported the Parker camp will continue to negotiate a contract with the Rockies but with the understanding that their son will play football this season.
