Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson held a brief meeting with the radio media here in Greensboro. His comments are brief because he had a plane to catch but he did offer some good insights to his offense and how difficult it is to stop. He said he is surprised that more teams don’t use the option attack. He added that he doesn’t expect teams to have more luck stopping him this year because he has been running the same offense for over twenty years and no one has stopped it consistently yet.
The Yellow Jackets won nine games last year and were 5-3 in the ACC. They return nine starters on offense and seven on defense. They will have a huge Thursday night ACC opening showdown with Clemson on September 10th in Atlanta.
