Former Clemson star and St. Louis Cardinals infielder Khalil Greene is expected to come off the 15-day disabled list today. Green was placed on the DL to deal with social anxiety problems.
Green worked out with team on Wednesday and met with Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa. Green is hitting .200 with two home runs and 14 RBI’s this season. He has also made seven errors at shortstop. Because of those fielding woes he could see some action at third base when he returns to the team.
Green was an All-American third baseman and shortstop at Clemson. His senior year he won the Golden Spikes Award that is given annually to the top player in college baseball.
