For the second straight day Clemson goes down at the ACC tournament. The Tigers fell to Duke 10-4 Friday in their second game of the ACC tourney in Durham.
Just like in their first game against Virginia, Clemson jumped out to the early lead. A solo home run by Kyle Parker put the Tigers up 1-0 in the second. But Duke answered with a solo shot in the bottom of the second and took a 2-1 lead with another run in the third inning.
It was still 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning but that is when Duke broke the game open. The Blue Devils scored six runs that inning to essentially put the game out of reach with a 10-1 lead.
Clemson did put three runs on the board in the eighth inning however at that point it was too little too late.

Chris Dwyer was the losing pitcher. He falls to 4-5 on the season. Andrew Wolcott earned the win for Duke.
The loss drops Clemson to 0-2 in the ACC Tournament and eliminates them from playing for the championship on Sunday. The Tigers do have another game here in Durham though. They will face North Carolina Saturday at 4:00. Casey Harmon (7-3, 4.01) will start on the mound.
